Cub Scout Hometown Hero Questionnaire

My Cub Scout twins are working on their Hometown Hero Requirement 3 with their Wolf Den.  To fulfill the requirement, they must interview one of their heroes and share what they learned with their den.  To help with their interview, I typed up the questions that are in their Cub Scout Book so they could easily interview their chosen hero, write down their responses and share their answers.

Cub Scout Chore Chart

Our Wolf Cub Scout group is working on their "Germs Alive" adventure and one of the requirements is to create a chore chart that they can adapt to their own situation.  They are to keep a record of the chores they complete during the week, then return the completed charts to our next den meeting.

To help, I created a simple chore chart that they could easily fill out...

At home when we used these, we filled them out, then hung them on our magnet board and each day when the chores were completed, they crossed them off.  Easy!

This chart is simple enough that it could definitely be used for more than just a Cub Scout requirement as well!

Cub Scout Hike Activity Worksheet

This month my twins' Cub Scout Wolf den has been working on the Paws of the Path adventure and I'm in charge of our hike (I'm a den mother).  I created this little worksheet so the cubs can fulfill the requirements that need to be met while hiking.  The boys can work on it in groups, with their families, etc.  

It's a 2-page document that you can download HERE.  Pictured above is only the first page.  I printed these back-to-back so each cub will get 1 page and a pencil to be able to fill it out.  Then when then turn it in, I can go track all the requirements they completed for the hike.

Also on our hike, the den is providing hot dogs and families are bringing potluck side dishes.  It should make for a fun evening up the canyon, out in nature!

Cub Scouts Snack Pack

I'm a new Den Mother in my twins' Cub Scout Pack!  My first assignment was to update the weekly snack bucket that is rotated between all the boys.  Our troop asks families to provide a simple snack each week at our weekly den meetings.  Here's what I came up with:

You can download this document HERE.  I cut around the big square then taped it on to a bucket with a lid using packaging tape.  I made sure to cover the whole page with tape so it's pretty permanent.  Then over the packaging tape, I took another small piece of paper (to fit in the space provided for the contact information) and wrote my name and phone number, then taped that over the top.  This way, when I'm no longer a Den Mother I can easily remove my name and someone else can add theirs.

To keep track of who takes the Snack Pack Bucket home and when, I created this simple spreadsheet:
